Lady Isabella and Lord Byron are showing off their custom knitted and very festive turkey hats from Pugs-n-Giggles. Thanksgiving is a popular day in Pusgsville, not so much because of the traditions or festivities everyone else would think, but because our royal puggies get to eat a big feast. But this year, they’re especially excited because they’re going to be in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!
This morning, the Pugsville Royal Staff had to deal with a very upset Lord Byron. It seems that the Royal Laundry accidentally starched his sheets. While he’s certainly a robust man’s man pug, Lord Byron enjoys the finer things in life just as much as anyone. And soft ultra-high-thread count sheets are among what he enjoys the most. He scolded the staff saying, “Why have such a high thread-count if you’re going to add starch?”
This evening, Lady Isabella and Lord Byron headed out to review a potential location for the Puvsville Pub. Having heard good things about the decades-old solid oak bar at this recently closed restaurant, Lord Byron had high hopes. However, Lady Isabella became irritated when the landlord was late, and double irritated at the “hideous” (her word) sign he put in the window (that font is embarrassing, she also said). Our royal pair waited 15 minutes past the appointed hour, then left — which was generous, no royal pug should have to wait, ever. The pair will continue their search to establish the perfect pub, where everyone can get civilized conversation with a proper pint.
Lord Protector of Pugsville, Lord Byron is seen here deep in thought, again. With such massive responsibilities, we often see Lord Byron this way. Eyes fixed on some distant thought. An expression of earnest contemplation. He’ll never say what is occupying his thoughts. However, we can be sure the future wellbeing of Lady Isabella and Pugsville are the foremost of his thoughts.
There are few eyes deeper than that of deeply caring and benevolent royalty who take their responsibilities with reverent regard. Lord Byron is most certainly such. Often he’s spotted, deep in thought, as he contemplates the various issues in and around Pugsville.NYC. We try to guess what he might be thinking here. The plight of the poor dogs about town with no owners or no meal tonight. The state of the tumultuous politics outside the sovereign borders of Pugsville. The latest foreign policy dispatches that indicate strife overseas. We may never know, all we do know is that he cares deeply. And for that, we love our Lord Byron.
As a follow up to our Flashback Thursday post, we have exclusive slow-motion video of Lord Byron continuing his athletic excellence. The intensity. The laser focus. The lightning fast reflexes. All hallmarks of a great athlete.
Lord Byron and Lady Isabella, being two hungry little pugs, are always on the lookout for tasty morsels that might fall their way. Even if the staff is doing nothing with food, one must always be alert, vigilant, and ready. Otherwise, one might lose one’s edge and miss out on that taste morsel, when it does fall.
Lord Byron would like to remind all his furry friends to make sure their staff knows that winter is coming, and that everyone has obtained the proper attire. No one likes to see cold doggies outside in the winter, especially Lord Byron.
Lord Byron, being the elite athlete that he is, always keeps his eye on the ball. He first learned this years ago when the Pugsville Royal Polo Pro taught Byron the nuances of the sport of kings. While very good at Polo, Lord Byron tended to gravitate more towards the high speed games of squash, hand ball, and ping pong. But no matter the game, Lord Byron excels, because he keeps his eyes on the ball.
Two little puggies are we,
always feeling hungry.
We sit and wait,
for our dinner plate.
Sometimes on the sofa,
waiting for food aroma.
Other times following mommy,
to see if she has maybe, salami?
All the time our stomach growling,
waiting for the dinner bell sounding.
Two little puggies are we,
always feeling hungry.
Always one for a bit of experimentation in the name of science, Lord Byron just received a shipment of special spiral bully sticks. One of the key findings he hopes to uncover is whether or not they take longer to consume. He predicts that he’ll need to go through at least a dozen bully sticks, then compare his data against another dozen straight bully sticks, before he’ll be able to release his findings. All in the name of science. We’ll update everyone when Lord Byron is ready to go public with his research.
As fall temperatures descend on Pugsville.NYC, Lord Byron and Lady Isabella took to the streets to show of the seasons new fashions in high style. Lord Byron is sporting a custom knitted sandstone and khaki sweater from Jenya2, that fits perfectly and is a breeze for his staff to get on and off. Lady Isabella is also wearing Jenya2, a beautiful black and lavender custom knitted sweater with pretty pink and lavender flowers and trim.
A brief snap of wintery temperatures invaded Pugsville today, so it was a perfect time for Lord Byron and Lady Isabella to test out their new fleece coats from Pug Snuggly. Lord Byron is wearing a sporty camo coat with side pockets for his snacks and gear. Also in camo is Lady Isabella, but her coat has a few fashionable skulls and, of course, a pink ribbon for Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Our little Lord Byron smells daisys and King Argus smells burgers. Some things never change.
